Newcastle-under-Lyme BID Announces Board Restructure

Newcastle-under-Lyme BID announces a significant restructure within its leadership team to further enhance its mission of creating a safe, welcoming and forward thinking town for the whole community.

Eddie Leligdowicz, who has served as the chair of the BID since its inception in 2015, has decided to step down from his role.  Following Eddie’s departure, the Board of Directors has elected Jane Tunnicliff, NSCG Newcastle College, and Nigel Davies, Boss & Sons Barbers, as Co-Chairs.

Eddie says: “I am immensely proud of the journey we’ve taken with the Newcastle-under-Lyme BID over the past several years. Serving as Chair has been an honour and a privilege, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to have been part of such a dynamic and dedicated team. Together, we’ve implemented numerous impactful projects and initiatives that have contributed to the growth and vibrancy of our town.

Watching the BID flourish and witnessing the positive impact it has had on our community has been incredibly rewarding. While I am stepping down from my role as Chair, my passion for our town remains unwavering, and I am committed to continuing my involvement as a member of the board.

It’s time for fresh perspectives and new hands to guide the BID forward, and I have full confidence in Jane Tunnicliff, Nigel Davies, and the entire board to lead with enthusiasm and dedication. I look forward to seeing the Newcastle-under-Lyme BID reach even greater heights in the years to come.”

Reflecting on the opportunity, Jane Tunnicliff remarked.

“It’s a great honor to be elected as Co-Chair of the Newcastle under Lyme BID. We have a lot planned for 2024, building on the successes of the previous years. I look forward to working closely with Nigel, the Board of Directors, and our community partners to drive positive change and growth.”

Nigel Davies echoed Jane’s sentiments, saying, “I am thrilled to embark on this journey as Co-Chair alongside Jane. The Newcastle-under-Lyme BID has had a remarkably successful 2023, and we are committed to building on that momentum. Together with our dedicated team and the support of our community, I am confident 2024 will be a successful year.”
